R. W. Bro. David Quinn, D.D.G.M. 2008 - 2009

David Quinn was born in Kingston but grew up in a small mining town north of Sudbury, Ontario. He comes from a large family with three brothers and two sisters.

Like most boys growing up in Northern Ontario, David played hockey. Although the town was quite small, his team twice won the Northern Ontario championship, with David being named the outstanding defenseman of the league. David traded his hocket sketes for a pair of long-blade speed skates, placing fourth in the Province in 1989, and winning the Ontario Speed Skating Championship in 1990.

In 1993, David served as Fund Raising Chair for the twinning of the Cataraqui Arena at Syndenham Road and Highway 401 in Kingston. His successful efforts were recognized with a permanent plaque in the Arena lobby.
